Sikka, as described by colleagues, is a trailblazer focused on innovation and improving health care delivery for America’s Veterans.

In her current position, she serves as the top medical leader for the VISN 8 Clinical Contact Center – a virtual urgent care service that is available to Veterans around the clock, including weekends and holidays.

She also holds an academic appointment with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and directs an elective for fourth year medical students to experience virtual urgent care.

“Dr. Sikka has demonstrated her commitment to enhancing and improving the quality of care for Veterans, and through this dedication has made significant contributions to the advancement of virtual care within VISN 8 and across the Veterans Health Administration,” said Suzanne M. Klinker, Deputy Network Director for Clinical Contact Center, VISN 8.

“Her efforts have led to the VISN 8 Clinical Contact Center being recognized as the gold standard within VHA – a service that has helped hundreds of thousand of Veterans get the care they need from the comfort of their homes or wherever they may be,” she said.
